QuizStop (the "Service," "we," "our," or "us") is a lesson‑authoring platform that helps parents and teachers create educational content using a questions/answers model with their own content, and sometimes link to YouTube® and TikTok® videos. Registration, login, and watching videos are completely free. Our optional subscription plans unlock advanced AI-powered features for enhanced learning experiences. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data.

2. What Data We Collect & Why

• Account data – your name, email address, hashed password (to create and secure your account).
• User‑generated content – images, questions, answers, comments, saved video URLs (YouTube®, TikTok®), timestamps (to build and store your lessons).
• Recorded audio – voice recordings of answers for teachers/parents to review in the insight page.
• Video metadata – video ID, title, thumbnail URL (cached for ≤30 days to display videos efficiently).
• Payment data – handled by app stores (Apple App Store, Google Play Store); we never see or store your payment details.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to:

• Provide free account registration and login services.
• Enable unlimited viewing of your saved videos at no cost.
• Store your lessons and associated media so only you (and anyone you explicitly share with) can view them.
• Display videos through the official embed players.
• Provide advanced AI-powered features to Pro subscribers (question/answer evaluation, speech recognition, etc.) with usage capped as credits.

Free Features: Registration, login, and watching your saved videos are completely free forever. Pro subscription fees pay for advanced AI-powered question/answer evaluation, speech recognition, and enhanced lesson creation tools.

4. User‑Generated Content & Responsibility

You own the content you upload. Except where you choose to export or share it, your content remains private to your account. You are solely responsible for its legality and for obtaining any necessary permissions.

5. Disclosure of Your Information

Your data is saved in cloud services: Cloudflare & Azure in secured and encrypted storage. We don't send your data to any external networks.

6. Children's Privacy

The Service is intended for use with children under the supervision of a parent or teacher. We obtain verifiable parental consent before collecting personal data from children under 13 (U.S.) or under 16 (EU). In child‑directed areas we embed videos using privacy‑enhanced domains when available.

7. Data Retention & Deletion

• User content – retained until you delete it or after 24 months of account inactivity.
• Video metadata – refreshed or deleted within 30 days per platform developer policies.

You can delete your account and all data at any time via account settings or by following the instructions at web.quizstop.ai/#/delete-account. Deletion is permanent.

8. Security Measures

We protect your data with HTTPS encryption, bcrypt‑hashed passwords, encryption at rest, role‑based access controls, and annual penetration tests.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or download your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time. Contact us to exercise these rights.

This Service uses video platform API Services including YouTube and TikTok. By interacting with video content here, you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service and the TikTok Terms of Service.
